Abstract

Sports Recreation is a sport that is done in the physical and spiritual life of someone after doing heavy work activities, Watu Bangkong Adventure is one of the existing tourist destinations in Paninggaran village, Paninggaran District, Pekalongan Regency, whose location is very strategic and has the potential to serve as a sports attraction. The implementation of this recreation spot can not be separated from the management, because management, in particular, can smoothen or maintain the activities of Tourism and develop the Tourism in Watu The problem in this research is focused on how the management function in the tourism object starts from planning, organizing, actuating and controlling. The approach used in this study was a qual was descriptive method. Research instruments included interviews, observation and documentation. Location of research was Watu target of this research were the chairman, cupervisor, and tour guide o Bangkong Adventure. Data analysis in this research consisted of to data collection, data study, data description, and final analysis. The research results show that for its planning function, Watu Adventure Tourism have long term and short camefrom self-supporting community and ticket sales. In terms of organizing, this place is quite good. For its actuating function, Watu tour guide trainings, however the facilities and infrastructure were st inadequate. The controlling function in Watu carried out in accordance with their respective roles and responsibilities, and meetings were always held to conduct evaluation. The conclusion of the research result was that the management functions in Watu according to the program that had been made, there are still shortcomings in every indicator of the management function that need to be improved. Suggestions that can be given from research results is in terms of funding,the management needed cooperation with other parties. In terms of organizing, human resources need to be added so that every task in the management can be done optimally. In terms of actuating, visitors.
