Abstract

The main problems of this research are (1) is have an the effect through slingshot technique to softball pitcher result ? (2) is there any effect of windmill technique on softball pitcher result ? and (3) is there any difference of effect between sheets of technique slingshot and windmill techniques on softball pitchers ?. This study aims to determine: (1) the effect of throwing slingshot technique on the result of softball pitchers, (2) the effect of windmill technique on the result of softball pitcher, (3) the difference effect between throwing technique of slingshot and windmill technique resulted by softball pitcher Research method used by writer is descriptive method with quantitative approach. Quantitative research is a research method based on the philosophy of positivism, used to examine the population or a particular sample, Population and sample in this research is Unwahas student 4th semester of year 2018 which amounted to 24 student, data collection using research instruments, statistical data analysis, with the aim to test the hypothesis that has been set. Based on the results of both the analysis of the throwing technique with the slingshot technique an increase of 4.5 when changed in the form of 37.5% percent while the windwill technique can be seen that the increase of the softball pitcher is greater than applying the slingshot technique that is 5.0 if it is changed in percentage 41.66% .Thus it can be concluded that the practice of throwing windmill technique is more effective in improving the ability to throw softball pitchers on all the 4th student of Education Physical Health and Refreshment, Wahid Hasyim University Semarang 2018 compared with the training of throwing technique slingshot Refers to the results of this research, the authors can give some suggestions, they are: (1) to get the results of the pitcher's hard, fast, and accurate, it is necessary to pay attention to the windmill technique and the slingshot technique by giving the base of the programmed tossing practice. (2) during the pitcher training, emphasizing the practice of combining or coordinating windmill techniques and slingshot techniques to produce the right throw target (result). (3) for other research to conduct similar research, should make the result of this research as reference material in order to obtain more optimal result
