Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of liquidity, profitability, solvency on company performance after mergers and acquisitions companies incorporated in the LQ45 index from 2013-2017. The variables used in this study is company performance (tobin’s q) as the dependent variable and liquidity (current ratio), profitability (return on assets) and solvability (debt to equity ratio) as independen variables. Sampling in this study using purposive sampling method and obtained a total sample of 20 companies with pooled cross sectional system that is by combining cross section data for 5 consecutive years from the sample period, so obtained as much as 100 data observations. Data analysis in this study using SPSS version 16, using multiple linear regression test that is classical assumption test consisting of normality test, multicolinearity test, autocorrelation test and heteroscedasticity test, then hypothesis testing using test of determination, t test and f test. The results of this study indicate that companies are more likely to use internal funds than external funds because it is seen from the significant variables of liquidity and profitability that negatively and significantly affect the company performance.
