Abstract

The leading commodities of capture fisheries are commodities that are able to contribute revenue for the region. Jepara regency with considerable fishery potential can be used as an effort to increase regional fishery. This study aims to determine the superior commodities, components of Proportional Growth (PP) and Regional Growth (PPW), as well as priority development of fish commodity catches Jepara regency. The method used in this researchwas descriptive analytical methode.Determination of sample location and respondents used purposive sampling technique. The data used are primary data and secondary data, in the form of production value of fishery commodity catching of Jepara Regency and Central Java Province. Method of taking data by interview, observati on, recording, and documentation. The results obtained that the commodity of squid, mackerel, stingray, petek fish, tuna and anchovy as a pre-eminent commodity. The results of PP analysis of anchovy commodities and squid commodities have rapid growth. Commodities of mackerel, stingray, petek fish, and slow growing tongkol fish. The result of PPW analysis of tuna commodity has competitiveness and commodity of squid, kembung fish, stingray, petek fish, and anchovy does not have competitiveness. Tuna commodities are a top priority for development. The alternative priorities of development include squid commodities, mackerel commodities, stingrays, petek fish commodities, and anchovy commodities.
