Abstract

This study aims to test and analyze the compensation and work environment on employee job satisfaction PT. Holi Karya Sakti Semarang on the piece. This study was conducted because there are problems of job satisfaction that is allegedly caused due to compensation and unfavorable work environment. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of compensation and work environment on employee job satisfaction either partially or simultaneously. With this research conducted the policy can be made about the problem of compensation, work environment, and employee job satisfaction so that corporate objectives can be achieved optimally. Population in this research is employee cut section of 45 employees. the technique used is the census technique so that the entire population is used as a sample. Thus the sample used as many as 45 employees. data collection techniques using questionnaires, interviews and observation. The calculation results show that the compensation and work environment affect the employee job satisfaction, either partially or simultaneously. The result is obtained by analyzing data by using validity test, reliability test, t test test, f test test, coefficient of determination and regression analysis. Calculations in this study using SPSS. The advice given is that the compensation issue should pay more attention to both direct and indirect compensation so that employees are more satisfied in their work and performance will increase as well as employee satisfaction will increase. Working environment issues should be noted, employees have felt that the company's facilities are well maintained so as to provide comfort in using them, the availability of supporting facilities such as clean toilets, bathrooms, adequate places of worship, employees feel that the noise level in the workplace is sufficient low so employees can concentrate while working, employees feel quite safe with the existing work environment, then employees also feel the relationship of colleagues work well enough so that employees can work optimally and satisfied with the results of his work.
