Abstract
Household food security is a condition of the fulfillment of important food consumption in the concept of food security, because food security affects the nutritional status of family members that are influenced by many factors. One group of people suspected to be classified as food insecurity is fishermen. This study aims to determine the level of energy and protein consumption, the share of expenditure on food, and the level of food resilience of fishermen households in Jepara Sub-district of Jepara. The method used in this research was descriptive analytical methode. Determination of sample location and respondents used purposive sampling technique. Total respondents amounted to 80 people with 40 fishermen skipper and 40 fishermen pandega. The data used are primary and secondary data. Method of taking data by interview, observation, recording, recall, and documentation. The result of this research shows that the average energy consumption of fisherman household was 1,846 kcal/capita/day with 83,03% energy consumption level included in medium category and protein consumption 57,4 gram/capita/day with protein consumption level 94.66% including medium category. Household expenditure consists of food expenditure and non-food expenditure. The share of household fishermen's food expenditure is 48.20%, while the share of non-food expenditure is 51.80%, meaning that the share of food expenditure is less than 60% of the share of non-food expenditure indicating that the welfare level of fisherman household is high or food resistant. The condition of household food security of fishermen in Jepara Sub-district of Jepara Regency based on its level is food resistant of 45% fishermen and 30% fishermen pandega, food susceptible by 5% fishermen and 2.5% fishermen pandega, and less food by 50% skipper and 67.5% pandega fishermen.
