Abstract
Islamic education is a unit of knowledge, faith, charity and noble character. Islam Nusantara is known as a peaceful Islam because the essence of Islam Nusantara is Islam that adapts local values and has special characteristics, that is peace, harmony and silaturrahim (communion & compassion). The purpose of this study is to find out of Islamic education and Islamic history of Nusantara in the Atlas Walisongo book, to find out the assimilation process of Islamic teachings in Nusantara, and to find out the correlation between the contents of the Atlas Walisongo book with Islamic education and the Islamic History of Nusantara. This research is a library research, which is a type of research that seeks to collect research data from the literary treasury and make the "text world" as the main object of its analysis. Data collection techniques are carried out by collecting data from various document source, that is from literature, books, journals, articles or some papers related to the discussion of this research. This research is a qualitative research approach, where the subject of this research is the Atlas Wali Songo book by Agus Sunyoto, published by Pustaka IIman. The object of this research is focused on Islamic education and Islamic History of Nusantara. The results showed that (1) There was a match between the concept of Islamic education with elements of Islamic education that contained in the Atlas Walisongo book, that is about basics, scope, the functions, methods and the purpose of Islamic education that delivered in Wali Songo's teaching in spreading the Islamic religion. (2) There is a discussion of the history of Islam Nusantara in Atlas Wali Songo book, starting from the socio-cultural religious conditions before the arrival of Islam to the entry process of Islam which is centuries old from its origin, its period of entry, the ways of distribution and assimilation process. (3) Generally based on the discussion of the contents in the Atlas Wali Songo book, there is a reconstruction of Islamic education that is still relevant and can be used today.
