Abstract
One of the factors causing poverty is the inequality of income distribution among thesociety. Zakat as the fourth pillar of Islam can be used as one of instrumen t in poverty alleviation. This research examines the distribution of zakat productively as a business capital from. The purpose of this study is to determine the factors that effect the welfare of mustahiq in the utilization of productive zakat. These factors are the amount of zakat that received by mustahiq, age of mustahiq, education level of mustahiq, business duration of mustahiq, business training, business assistance, and frequencies of zakat that received by mustahiq. This study also examines the welfare of mustahiq before and after receiving zakat. The number of respondents in this study are 99. The result of multiple linier regression analysis shows variable mustahiq business duration partially, business training, business assistance, and the frequency of zakat that received by mustahiq have a positive effect on the welfare of mustahiq. Simultaneously, the variable of the amount of zakat that received by mustahiq effecting the welfare of mustahiq. , age of mustahiq, education level of mustahiq, business duration of mustahiq, business training, business assistance, the frequention of zakat that received by mustahiq effecting the welfare of mustahiq. The result of paired samples t-test shows the welfare of mustahiq before and after receiving zakat is not different. This is shown by the value of sig.(2-tailed) 0,069 > 0,05.
