Abstract
The World Heritage Committee is a respective intergovernmental body with the noble aim to safeguard the world heritage sites based on the World heritage Convention. The election of Indonesia to be member of the Committee for the period of 2015-2019, gives Indonesia the opportunity to contribute to the only intergovernmental organization with the mandate to safeguard the world‟s most outstanding cultural and natural heritage. This study is aimed to analyze the diplomacy of Indonesia in the World Heritage Committee. The researcher used descriptive qualitative method through library research and document analysist. This study started to explain how the effort of Indonesia to become the Committee member and continued the analysist on its effort regarding some issues such as to promote the integration of Agenda 2030 within the World Heritage Committee, to promote the more credible World Heritage Committee and regional issues. The analysist showed that the effort of Indonesia was moderate, where on some issues, the diplomacy was effective and reached its objective and some other was rather weak and ineffective.
