Abstract
Thailand is a unitary state with a majority Buddhist population and few Muslims. Thai Muslim societies are concentrated in the southern Thailand region between pattani, Narathiwat and Yala. Malay Muslims in Southern Thailand have socially and culturally conspicuous compared to the majority of the country of Thailand, namely Buhda. The history of Southern Thailand is inseparable from the long history of conflict between Malay Muslim communities, Buddhists and the Thai government itself. One of the issues built on the conflict is none other than the issue of the enis conflict. From this problem the emergence of separatist movements from both sides. Until now the conflict of southern Thailand, is still ongoing and has not found a meeting point of peace. The conflict, then the problems studied in this research are: first, the Pattani community conflict and the Government of Thailand, and How the conflict occurred in Pattani Selatan Thai. This study found that the occurrence of conflict in Southern Thailand caused by several factors such as political factors, economic facts, religious factors and social factors. From the conflict, the Thai government to do several factors in soaking conflict include: Conflict between pattani society and Thai government.
